For over 50 years, Tustin Presbyterian
Church has been the sponsor and home of Boy Scout Troop 33.

Some of our members have asked recently whether the Boy Scouts in
the troop we sponsor, Troop 33, do flag retirements. The answer is
that they do. If you have a flag in need of retirement, all you
need to do is bring it to the church office. We will pass it along
to the Scouts, and they will take it from there.

Communion is an important part of the
worship life of Tustin Presbyterian Church. Check the schedule
to see when communion will be celebrated during 2017.
There are several small groups at TPC
that meet for study, support, and fellowship. There is a Bible
study group for men and women that meets on the second Tuesday of
each month (next meeting on November 14). A lunch group
for women meets on a regular basis at restaurants in Tustin (next
lunch meeting date, time, and location to be announced). There
are also covenant groups for men that meet on Wednesday and
REMIX, our midweek program for
children and youth continues its program for the new year on
October 17 with Superhero Night. More
details about the REMIX program and a registration form are available
youth at TPC would like to invite the congregation to bring new
socks to be collected on Sundays before the worship services with a
goal of collecting 200 pairs of socks by the end of October to
benefit our local homeless population. Please bring any new socks
you can; infant, kids and adults socks are most appreciated.
We are looking for
those who enjoy playing bridge with friends. Find out more
about this new group. The next bridge date is Thursday,
The next collection of
non-perishable food items is on Sunday, October 22, and will
benefit the food pantry at L'Arche Wavecrest.
All women to
participate in the annual Women's Retreat which will be held at TPC
on Saturday, October 28. The Rev. Karen Claassen will
be the speaker. Watch for more details in the coming weeks.
Gourmet Book Club
The next meeting of the TPC Gourmet
Book Club will be held on November 4. More information
is now available, including the location of the meeting and the
title of the book that will be discussed.
The next hike for the
TPC Mountaineers is scheduled for Saturday, November 11, in
Chino Hills State Park. All are invited to join us, but please
let us know that you plan to be there.
Aid Collection Table
Would you like to
help fight homelessness but are unable to participate in the
overnight church hosting. Find out how you can help by
donating hygiene-related products on the second Sunday of each
month. The next donations will be received on November 12.
First Thursday Fellowship Event
Thursday, our program for senior members of the congregation, will
not meet in November due to a scheduling conflict. The next meeting will be on
Ashley Riopka, TPC's Director of Youth Ministries and
a talented musician, will come to share a little about herself and
then will lead the group in their favorite Christmas Carols.

Connections is a program at TPC that is designed to develop
relationships between the youth and adults of Tustin Presbyterian
Church. Through periodic
events, the youth and adults get to know each other on a personal basis, and opportunities are presented for one-on-one relationships between the
