As we consider the Lenten disciplines of prayer, focus, and compassion, we will explore a way to simplify and truly enjoy the spirit of the season with less anxiety and more presence. “Mindfulness” is a way to bring ourselves into the present moment with intention and kindness. This practice is compatible with Christian traditions of centering prayer and with Jesus’ call to take time away for prayer.
